For Such a Time As This
TJC faith-family, Sunday was a wonderful day of celebration as we came together to worship by studying God's Word and enjoying some Christian fellowship after church for lunch. I truly relish the opportunities we have to gather together.
If you weren't able to be with us, I'd encourage you to listen to the sermon audio. And, if you missed the lunch, you can still view the Vision Lunch notes. Also, please be in prayer for our community as we fast together—view the Fasting Guide—on March 27 and April 3 in preparation for Easter on April 5, 2015.
Lastly, I'd like to take this opportunity to invite you again to join God practically in the mission of Christ as a member/regular attender of this church. As we looked at Esther 4:13-5:2, we saw that she identified with her people, mediated for her people, and demonstrated faith before her people. As she leveraged her life for the sake of the Kingdom of Christ and the people of God, so we, as Christians, are called to do the same with our time, talents, and tithes.
If you're not using some of your time to serve in a ministry of our church, we need you to serve with us at TJC; if you're not using the talents the Lord has entrusted to you for the edification of the church and the proclamation of the gospel, we need you to wield them for the sake of the Kingdom through the ministry of TJC; if you're not giving a faithful tithe to the local church, we need you to give and pool your resources with us for the work of the gospel in our community.
Together, as a church faith-family, we have been placed in West Chester for such a time as this.
